 "I remember the first day of girls basketball practice, there were no
more then seven JV girls, two of which were not even sure they were
going to play. I have to admit I felt a little sad when not having a JV
team was in consideration. Soon after that one of our key players got
hurt and two girls were loaded down with other activities and
schoolwork. By then there was not much hope, with only a four girl
team. However we toughed it out and now have a full team with
substitutes. Being apart of such a small team is not always bad. We
have come to know each other so well as people that our basketball
playing has improved greatly. I do not know about past JV girls
basketball teams but I do know that the team this year is going to have
a great season and a lot of fun times." |
