Softball vs. Berean Christian

So today the softball team finished out what may be our toughest week of the season, facing three really, really good teams in just four days. 

We went out to Bushrod today for our most hardest game yet, against Berean who always smushes every team in our league.  But we fought, even from the very beginning before the game started, when we had to dig out a new hole for 3rd base, mmm kinda sketch. 

We also had some ridiculously good and unexpected moments during this game  - for example:
Zoe getting 4 strikeouts and a very good hit, coming all the way around for a run. 
Lisa getting a monstrous double to drive Zoe home!
Haley R. with an amazing single.  She received the game ball today for her efforts (which was a baseball that dropped from the sky at one point during the game)
Haley G. having some great defensive plays, including one where she tagged a girl out at 2nd as the girl cleated her in the shin, but BOOYA she was out anyway, and now Haley is hardcore.
Rachel running her butt off when the Berean girls smacked it over her head in the very big outfield, and then getting the ball in quickly, including in the last inning to stop the girl at third.
Kanti making some incredible plays in right field, including a great catch!
Erica catching virtually all of our throws to first, some of which were very tricky/in the dirt
Helen fielding some reeeally hard hit balls at third base!
Martha being there - she's been sick for a while, but she's getting better
