Softball vs. Holy Names
Today the softball team had a great victory over Holy Names (they're division four by the way) - slaughter rule, 16-2!
We played the game at Holy Names University, where Julia Morgan used to be. So for all you old school JMSG students, you know that field where we played soccer and held hands in a circle on the first day of school?? yeah, that's where we played.
Ok, highlights!
Rachel had a really good at bat where she learned ON THE SPOT how to slap, and accoring to our coach, is on the cusp of something great
Lisa and Zoe, our awesome duo, had very good pitching/catching. Zoe, even though she's right handed, batted left and got on base every time, and Lisa had a big hit down the middle.
Helen had two hits down the middle also
Erica had two or three hits, so many I can't remember, and a double play!
Haley, despite some bad luck with the ump, had a single aaaand another double play!
Kanti got on base two or three times - that girl is always on base! - and had a stop in right field
Haley Ryerson played a tight center field
aaand lots of RBI's all around
This game will hopefully be similar to the rest of the games we'll be playing this season, so you should definitely come out and watch some softball when possible! Especially when we get to league games, and when we crush Head Royce
