| Kiet Tran, Head Coach: In his eighth season as head coach, Kiet is looking forward to another successful and rewarding swim season. In his seven years, both the boys and girls teams have finished no lower than the the top half in the conference. His girls team won the school's first conference title four years ago and successfully defended their title the following three years, compiling a perfect 24-0 dual meet record from 2005-2006. The girl's four straight conference wins is a team record. The boy's captured the league title in 2007 and finished 2nd in the conference the past three years. An astounding nine school records were broken in 2005 by nine different swimmers and the team qualified a record number of qualifers for NCS. "I think it will be hard to match the success of previous years but I know better than to doubt any of my teams. They have a history of exceeding my expectations. Every year, I think to myself, it can't get any better than this and yet, each successive year, the experience gets better and better." Kiet first came to CPS ten years ago as a science teacher and evolved to the Director of Health, Fitness and Recreation.
