* For over twenty years, Oxfam has worked with poor people around the world, helping them build long term food and economic security. In Asia, Africa,the Americas and the Caribbean we attack the root causes of hunger by helping poor people gain access to basic resources-like land, water, seeds, tools and training-so they can be self sufficient. Oxfam America funds 267 development projects in 28 eight countries around the world including a program to fight hunger in the United States.
Each year we have an Oxfam Feast to raise money for Oxfam.

In the last 50 years, there have been real changes in the developing world:-
- Real income has doubled
- Child death rates have more than halved
- Life expectancy is up more than one third
- Access to safe drinking water is up from 10% to 50%
