2Prep

2Prep is an optional four-week summer program designed to help prepare incoming ninth grade students for College Prep--especially for the kind of reading, writing and quantitative assignments they will experience from the beginning of their careers here.  Two courses are offered in the 2Prep program, both meeting four days a week starting in late July.  The morning program meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Tuesdays through Fridays, and offers students help with basic reading and writing skills, managing homework time, study skills, and essential computer skills (for word processing and Internet research).  In the afternoons on the same days, from 12:30 to 2:30 students who need some math readiness support prior to Math I receive instruction in math.  Students may elect to enroll in one or both of these sessions.  Both sessions are taught by experienced College Prep faculty members.  The cost of each session is $250.00.  There is no cost for students receiving financial aid.  For more information about our 2Prep program contact our admissions office at (510) 652-4364.
