A unique database that uses humans to select full-text articles on
a variety of topics from over 1,500 newspapers, magazines, journals, and government
publications. The articles are indexed and browsable by subject headings. Includes
articles from Atlantic Monthly, Christian Science Monitor, The New Yorker,
Poets & Writers, Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, as well
as hundreds of international newspapers and periodicals. An added bonus is the
ability to search captions in graphic titles.
SIRS Government Reporter includes browsable subject categories regarding all aspects of American government including foreign policy, international affairs, domestic affairs, and military affairs. American National Biography
Each biographical entry contains the highlights of the person's life with hyperlinks
to related biographies in the database. A particularly useful addition is the
bibliography section which contains a summary of works written by or about the
subject. Photographs and portraits from the Library of Congress complement each
