General Instructions for Macintosh Computers
- Go to File -> Print
- From the Print dialog box select UPSTAIRS_XEROX from the Printer drop down menu.
- If you have previously saved a group of printer settings, choose them from the Presets drop down menu, enter the number of copies, specific pages to print, etc. and click Print.
- If you have not saved printer settings go to the Copies & Pages menu and down to Layout.
- Select the appropriate button for Two Sided (Off, Long-edged binding, Short-edged binding).
- Go back to the menu and choose Xerox Job Type.
- Select the Secure Print button from the Job Type list and then type in a 4 digit release code (we recommend your year of birth).
- Return to the menu and choose Printer Features.
- The first feature set listed is JCL.
- Deselect the Banner Sheet check box.
- Go back up to the JCL drop down menu and click to go down to Finishing Options 1.
- Select the appropriate choices for your job from the Stapling (No Staple, 1 Staple, 2 Staples) and Draft Mode (Normal, Conserve Dry Ink) menus.
- To save these settings for future print jobs go to the Presets menu near the top of the dialog box and down to Save As....
- The Save Preset window will appear, type in a name indicative of the settings you chose (e.g. Xerox DS w Staple Econo) and click OK.
- Notice that the Presets menu now says the name of your settings file.
- Click Print.
- Future print jobs should retain these settings unless you choose otherwise.
