What's with the checkerboarding? Classes which meet 1st Period on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays actually meet 2nd Period on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classes which meet 2nd Period on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays meet 1st Period on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (It's not the hardest thing in the world to figure out, although it can be frustrating if you come to school at 8:05 only to discover that you have 1st free that day.)

Further Notes:

  • Classes that meet 1st Period on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays actually meet 2nd Period on Tuesdays and Thursdays. See schedule above for details.
  • On Tuesdays we have three different schedule options. Depending on the Special Event that will be taking place that day we will have a GAP I, GAP II OR GAP III schedule. Again see the schedule above for details. The GAP schedule permits greater flexibility in scheduling events. Details of the particular GAP schedule we will use on a specific Tuesday are available in the Periscope, the master calendar, or on this site's mini-calendar.
  • Jazz band meets Zero period, which is 7:20 AM. 8th period, for extracurriculars, generally starts soon after the end of 7th Period.
  • Assemblies are 40-minute mandatory meetings which take place in the main courtyard, or in the auditorium during inclement weather.
  • Meetings period on Friday is sometimes used for class meetings, but more often it is a 40-minute break during which various clubs may hold meetings, rehearsals, etc.

Finally, Mr. Dean takes great pleasure in creating all sorts of special schedules to accommodate events such as retreats, special days such as Oxfam and International Day etc. These will always be posted in Student News on CPSNet and on the door to the Main Office.
