Rahul Tripathi joins The College Preparatory School as Chief Financial Officer

Rahul Tripathi has joined The College Preparatory School as Chief Financial Officer. With over ten years of experience working within academic institutions, and a specialty in financial planning and analysis for growing schools, Mr. Tripathi will be responsible for the financial management of the Oakland independent school.

“Mr. Tripathi brings excellent leadership and knowledge of non profit financial stability with a broad eye for the future and understanding the challenges that independent schools face,” states Murray Cohen, Head of School.

Mr. Tripathi joins CPS with a broad background in the financial and administrative management of academic institutions. Most recently, he was at New York University where he served as an Assistant Dean of Administration. Prior to NYU, Mr. Tripathi focused on strategic and operational analysis and planning as Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Phillips Exeter Academy, in New Hampshire. Mr. Tripathi began his career at Rice University as a budget analyst. He received his Masters in Economics from The Claremont Graduate School and his Bachelors in International Economics and Social Anthropology from Trinity University in Texas. Mr. Tripathi resides in Emeryville and is enjoying all of the rich offerings of the Bay area with his dog, Henry.
