CPS Junior Beats Swim Record

Congratulations to Colin.

Colin H. broke both the pool and BAC Conference record in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:46.31 at the conference championships at Miramonte High School earlier this month.  He also won the 200 individual medley and swam the anchor leg in the conference winning 400 freestyle relay.

This past weekend, Colin placed 3rd and 4th respectively in the 200 individual medley and the 500 freestyle at the North Coast Section Championships (comprising of 160+ schools in all divisions I-V).  He lowered the time standard for both the school and conference records in both events, swimming a 1:56.89 in the 200 IM and a 4:43.17 in the 500 free.  His time in the 200 IM was 8/100th of a second off the All-American time standard.  He single-handedly placed College-Prep, 19th overall at the NCS meet.  Congratulations to Colin.
