National Latin Exam Awards Ceremony

CPS Latin students were honored at an informal awards ceremony and reception in the CPS amphitheater on May 21st, in recognition of their accomplishments on the National Latin Exam, which was held in March 2007.  In all, 23 Gold Medals (Summa Cum Laude), 6 Silver Medals (Maxima Cum Laude), one Magna Cum Laude and one Cum Laude certificate were awarded.  Three students, Deanna W. ’10, Christopher H. ’09 and Perry W. ’08, wrote perfect papers.  Those who earned Gold Medals for four years in a row, Christopher H. ’09, JJ C. ’07 and Christopher W. ’07, were presented with copies of the Oxford Classical Dictionary.
