The CPS Film Club presented a free community screening of the award-winning film OSAMA followed by post-film discussion with special guests.

Panelists discuss the reality of life in Afghanistan

Part of a year-long community project to broaden understanding of Afghanistan through literature, film, and discussion at CPS, this event featured a panel with special guests including author Tamim Ansary (West of Kabul, East of New York), John Morrison, Director of Outreach for the California Film Institute, Hosai Mojaddidi, program officer of the Islamic Networks Group, John Faggi, CPS English teacher, and others.
 
FREE event, doors open at 7:00.  Popcorn, water, and desserts provided by film club. Raffle begins at 7:25 for awesome prizes!  All raffle proceeds go to the Afghan charity, Trust in Education (TIE). For more information about TIE go to http://www.trustineducation.org/.
