Graduation Year: 2017
Middle School: Pacific Boychoir Academy
Home Town: Boston
Biggest difference between middle school and high school: This is a co-ed school, I came from an all boys' school, but have not had any problems with the change. Another big difference is the independence gained in high school. There is more trust put upon you but also more independence, making it more like how life will be in the years to come.

Why I chose College Prep:  The people at College Prep are inviting and really kind. The teachers love what they're doing and know a lot about their own subjects. Everyone is new here, therefore there aren't many pre-existing friendships. This is not the case at other schools that have a middle school connected to the rest of the school. The baseball team is incredibly competitive and keeps me working hard to get better as an athlete. Also, the connection brought to everyday life and school from baseball is very important to continue to work hard and be the best I can be.

Why I'm glad I chose College Prep: Everyone has been amazingly friendly, inclusive, and accepting. The connection between students and the teachers is unique. Teachers are very helpful inside and outside of class and are really fun people to spend time with and talk to. The baseball team has made me work hard as an athlete, but also as a student to make sure I can succeed at both academics and sports.

Favorite place on campus: I like the main courtyard where we have assembly because lots of people spend time there and it has access to everywhere on campus.

Campus involvement:I am part of many different student organizations on campus, all of which have made it easy to get to know people. These consist of: JewC (Jewish Club), StuCo (Student Council), baseball team, AVE (Advanced Vocal Ensemble). The more experienced members in these groups have made it easy to fit in and know what to do.

Favorite class: I like history because not only do we learn the historical knowledge, but we also learn how to write and think in a beneficial way.

Favorite thing about College Prep: I really enjoy all of the people here. The teachers are amazing and very friendly and want o know you not only as a student but as a a person. There is also lots of inter-grade social activity making the change from middle school to high school much easier.

Favorite College Prep memory:The baseball Big Game was really fun because there was a lot of crowd energy feeding the players. This also put us in NCS (North Coast Section) for the first of hopefully four times while I'm here. There was a mixture of students and faculty there to cheer us on and give us the vigor to win.

Coolest (spring/summer/winter) break experience:  Going to South Africa with my choir was amazing because I got to experience another culture and other choirs. This was my first trip without my parents and it was really great. I learned about the history of South Africa and also how to perform in front of many people.

Favorite actor: Tom Hanks.
Three unusual things about myself:
  1. I was on America's Got Talent with my choir.
  2. I am a huge Red Sox fan.
  3. I have been to every continent except Antarctica.
