French III and Theater of the Absurd

French III students work with professional performing artist Marie Walburg-Plouviez on excerpts from playwright Eugène Ionesco’s The Bald Soprano, an absurdist play. It was a fun way to bring language and art to life outside the traditional classroom.

Marie Walburg-Plouviez studied theater and dance at the University of Nice and received her Masters Degree from the National Acting Conservatory of France. She has toured nationally and continues to create shows and engage in theater art with her San Francisco based dance/theater company Carte Blanche.
