Juniors taking biology this semester combined their Bay Area ecology case studies with community service. The classes either did habitat restoration with the Presidio Trust, or shoreline restoration work in the East Bay with Save the Bay.
The restoration work and access to the knowledgeable staff gave the students lots of food for thought to be included in their case study write-ups and presentations. Seniors in AP Environmental Science listened to the presentations, asked pointed questions, and reviewed the thoroughness of the research.
