Connections, Pride, and Spirit Day a Success!

Connections, Pride, and Spirit (CPS) Day is an opportunity for our community to learn through workshops, performances, and play. The unique and varied offerings were unified around the theme: Stories of Inspiration.
Students, faculty, and staff offered 31 distinct workshops and 15 dazzling performances. Guests presenters included acclaimed writer, producer, and director Melissa Johnson, who kicked off the day with her 2014 Tribeca Award winning film “Love in the Time of March Madness.” Award winning writer, filmmaker, and producer Suzanne LaFetra led a discussion of her latest film “FREE,” a 2014 Mill Valley Film Festival Award Winner. Workshops were also offered by College Prep alumna Monica Jarman and local artist Karen Smith. The day closed with mambo music featuring members of the 2014 Grammy winning Pacific Mambo Orchestra with vocalist and College Prep alumna, Alexa Weber Morales.
