Volunteer Opportunities

Spring Dinner-Auction Fundraiser

Spearheaded by our committee members, the whole parent body has a chance to participate in this major fundraiser, which provides funds for the CPS scholarship and endowment programs. This event attracts current and alumni families as well as the community at large.

Evening Lecture Series Fundraiser

Stimulating and affordable evening talks are designed for the entire CPS community. Hear local and national celebrities take on intriguing topics in an intimate setting. Proceeds from your purchase of season or individual tickets generate proceeds that support the CPS endowment fund.

Scrip Program Fundraiser

Funds raised through eScrip and Schoolpop.com have been used in the past for teacher curriculum enhancement, the school safety program, school trips, sports, music, art, science and all class-sponsored events. You can participate by registering with the Scrip committee.

Care Packages Fundraiser

The Care Box committee sends lovingly assembled care boxes in October and February to college students, filling the boxes with goodies baked by CPS parents. Bakers needed.

Drama Dinners Fundraiser

Drama fundraising events include pre-theater dinners and drama preview nights.

Book Fair and Cody’s Fundraisers

The annual Book Fair with a used book sale and speakers raises funds to support Parents' Association events. Cody’s donates a percentage of CPS related sales one weekend in November.

Oxfam Feast Fundraiser

This traditional November fundraiser is organized and staffed by the Parents’ Association and all funds go to Oxfam International. Whether a student can “feast” depends on chance, and our students learn that only very few people in the world do indeed “feast” – while millions go hungry.

Assorted Skills and General Help

There is a great need for members who have computer skills and artistic or literary talents to help with writing, editing, design and production of announcements and posters, as well as photography and video production. Parents may volunteer their particular skill or talent for a variety of committees that are ongoing throughout the year. And last but not least, parents may volunteer to be dance chaperones, donate their time and expertise in gardening, or provide assistance in the school library.
