 Job Description: BART COORDINATOR

The BART coordinator for the College Preparatory School is a year-round volunteer responsible for working closely with the School/Parent Association to ensure the smooth and efficient management of the BART Student Discount Ticket Program. The responsibilities of the coordinator include promoting the program, serving as a liaison with BART and the School for ticket purchase cycles, managing the ticket sales process to the students, and providing periodic accounting information to the School. The coordinator is also responsible for communicating to parents and students any changes to the program throughout the year by publishing articles in the School’s newsletter as needed and updating materials for posting on the School website.  The volume of ticket purchase requests from the students typically peaks during the early part of the school year. Good promotion, management, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills needed. Some experience with financial accounting is an advantage, but not required.
