Care Boxes Chair

The chairs for the Care Boxes are responsible for the planning, development and implementation of this fund-raiser at Halloween and Valentine’s Day. She /he:

1.    Attends monthly Parents’ Association Board meetings.

2.    Using Volunteers obtained from the membership list (receive list  from the membership chair), develops and organizes the baking, shopping for items, and mailing of the boxes.  The boxes include cookies and fun holiday items packed in a box to be purchased by parents or past CPS parents for college  students or friends.  The boxes are sent in October for Halloween and February for Valentine’s Day.

3.    Writes articles in the Periscope to promote sales.

4.    Develops flyers to be handed out at school events and meetings and mails them to past CPS parents.

5.    Is responsible for handling the moneys: checks and signs off on the budget amount with the Treasurer of the Board and provides receipts or detailed list for reimbursements.

6.    Updates guidelines to be given to the next Care Box Chairs.
