Freshmen Reps

There are four to five Freshman Reps, who are responsible for their class parents needs and events.  She/he:

1.    Attends the monthly Board meetings.

2.    Plans, organizes, and runs the Freshman Parents’ Orientation Coffee on the morning the Freshman students go on their retreat (late August).

3.    Plans, organizes and runs the Freshman potluck in the Fall (October).  This requires involving all freshman parents if possible, but contacting all and welcoming them to the CPS community.

4.  Coordinates all calendar dates with the President of the Board and CPS Staff.

5.   Plans and organizes at least one social for Freshman parents to get together.  This can either be held at the school or at a home.  
 
6.    Writes Periscope articles that highlight these activities and encourages Freshman parents to become involved in the CPS community.

7.    Chooses one contact person on committee for communication purposes.

8.    Checks and signs off on the budget amount with the Treasurer of the Board and provide receipts or detailed lists for reimbursements.

9.    Updates materials to be passed onto the next Freshman Reps.
