Sophomore Reps

The four to five sophomore reps are responsible for planning and implementing the Back to School Day luncheon and at least one Social for sophomore class parents. She/he:

1.    Attends monthly Board meetings.

2.    Plans, develops and organizes sophomore parents for the Back to School Day luncheon in October. This involves calling every parent in the class and welcoming them to the event.  Approximately 600 people attend the luncheon.

3.    Checks with the President of the Board and CPS staff to coordinate all calendar dates.

4.    Organizes a social event for sophomore parents to get together either at the school  or in a home.

5.    Publicizes these events in flyers and the Periscope.

6.    Keeps a log of the events for future referral.

7.    Chooses one contact person on committee for communication purposes.

8.    Checks and signs off on the budget amount with the Treasurer of the Board and provide receipts or detailed list for reimbursements.

9.    Updates and clears out materials to be passed onto next years Sophomore Reps.
