Student Council

Student Council at College Prep is responsible for organizing student activities including six yearly dances, multiple spirit days, spirit week, and representing student opinion in school-wide matters having to do with rules, events, and programs. Beyond these purposes, it has the larger responsibility, shared with student-faculty committees, of providing the leadership necessary to further the school’s goals. The Student Council is made up twenty two members: eight elected class representatives (two from each class), six community service reps (two from the sophomore, junior, and senior classes), two co-presidents, secretary, treasurer and four members of the Student Activities committee (Spirit). The class and community service representative positions are semester-long while all other positions are yearlong. All students are welcome to attend Student Council meetings, which take place twice a week in the Student Center.
