Equity & Inclusion

Equity and Inclusion

Inspires us not only to be aware of what is right but also to act on our beliefs. As a dynamic and engaged learning community, we believe that excellence stems from our members’ diverse backgrounds and life experiences. In our everyday interactions, policies, practices, and programs we aspire to be an inclusive school that lives its commitment to equity, empathy, cultural competence, and respect.
Our Purpose
Ensure wellness and well-being to:
  • Inspire to be intellectually adventurous, ethically sure-footed and generous of heart and spirit
  • Invest in their development by leveraging students strengths and seizing opportunities for growth
  • Empower students to serve the community in a meaningful and positive way

Our Practice
Inspire and empower through:
  • Bias Management: Our implicit and explicit control over the inclination or perspectives formed by experience that is generally judgmental; ascribing value, of something.
  • Cultural Competence: The ability to apply one’s knowledge, awareness and skills to facilitate dignified and respectful interactions among and across a variety of cultural groups.
  • Service Leadership: Philosophy and set of leadership practices whereby the servant-leader shares power, puts the needs of others first and helps people develop and perform as highly possible.
