Campus Involvement: I am part of the Cross Country team, which allowed me to meet people (especially from other grades) before school and make some of my closest friends. I was also part of the Girls' Varsity Basketball team, which was a very laid-back, fun experience to learn new skills and connect with a team. I was part of the dance program, performing in both Choreo Series and Spring Dance Showcase. I also helped light the Spring Dance Showcase as a part of tech crew. In tech, I also helped build and move the set of Shrek, our spring musical. I am a member of many clubs such as K-Club, FSA, DIRT, and Baking Club, and co-lead Quiz Bowl Club. I was an editor in Arts Mag and helped design some spread backgrounds, and was a partners mentor for a semester. I also ran a really fun common classroom last year about March Mammal Madness.

Why did you choose College Prep? I chose College Prep because of the academic focus with plenty of opportunities to try extracurriculars. Everyone you talk to on campus is not only a dedicated student but also has a couple of interests they are deeply passionate about. All the clubs and sports on campus also encourage and welcome people with no prior knowledge of the topic to join. It also helped that it has such a beautiful campus.

What has been your favorite class so far (and why)? My favorite class has been freshman physics because it taught me a lot of things that helped me see the world in a whole new way. I also really enjoyed my teacher, who always had a good way of explaining topics with memorable, funny analogies. 

What is your favorite character from a movie/book/television series? One of my favorite characters is Kaz Brekker from Six of Crows. He is such a deeply flawed character but it makes him really interesting to read about.
