What's the biggest difference between middle school and high school? I've definitely had a lot more independence and autonomy as a high schooler with regards to both my academics and social life. I get to decide, for instance, how busy my school schedule is and when to prioritize spending quality time with friends, aspects of my life that I hadn't really had the opportunity to regulate before.

Why are you glad that you chose College Prep? Among other things, I was instantly drawn towards the incredible diversity of College Prep.

What advice do you have for 8th graders applying to high school? Please please please choose a school that you feel is the best fit for you, your personality, and your learning style. Nothing else matters besides your own happiness :)

What campus activities are you involved in? I participate in College Prep's fall drama productions, which are always so fun because we're less of a cast and more of a family. Besides acting, I also sing! My favorite part about being in the Advanced Vocal Ensemble is our Singing Valentines tradition. In the spring, I'm part of the women's varsity soccer team. I love playing with and getting to know people on the field who I wouldn't normally have the opportunity to interact with during school. The weekly pasta feeds are a major bonus as well.

What is your favorite College Prep memory? Lying on uneven ground, cocooned in a sleeping bag, face exposed to the crisp air, staring at the vast expanse above, the night sky freckled with stars, needing to do nothing but be with friends, letting hushed whispers speak volumes. Sophomore retreat was something else.

What is your favorite place on campus? There's a small bench at the top of campus that's fairly secluded and surrounded by greenery. Sometimes when life feels a little hectic, I like to go up there to slow down time, decompress a little, and appreciate everyone and everything that I have.

What has been your favorite class? Freshman Physics was amazing because we had so many hands-on labs as well as daily activities, so nothing was ever boring. I also loved all of the teacher demonstrations, especially the fire-related ones :)

What has been the best thing about College Prep? I really appreciate the fact that there's no competitive atmosphere whatsoever between students. In fact, the environment has only ever been a collaborative one in my experience. Everyone's eagerness to help others coupled with the absence of things like grade sharing makes the College Prep campus so friendly and supportive.

Who is your favorite character from a movie/book/television series? I absolutely love WALL-E!

Three unusual things about me:
1. Contrary to public opinion, I don't like boba ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
2. I can harmonize with the humming sound of a microwave.
3. I play both the guitar and ukulele right-handed despite being a lefty for pretty much everything else.
